Bridesmaid Dresses

Picture
Here is the BM dress I am pretty set on. It is a Bill Levkoff #370 in Euro Stable. It is the best representation of what I wanted, plus it looked cute on my MOH! Only thing that has to be done to the dress is remove the BIG bow on back--not my style. : )

Another dress I liked, but I would need to remove some of the tulle or whatever underneath is also pictured on my MOH!

The Start..

Picture
This past weekend (1/30/10), I randomly decided to go dress shopping! My day started off with this dress. Simple, but alright. Not too fond of the gap at the waistline, but it was a nice place to start. Please, ignore my facial expressions!!

To see the back, look below. What a train!

Could this be it?

The next dress that was my close second is shown here. It had elements of what I wanted, but I felt in the end it was a tad bit too plain. I think what most attracted me to the dress was the side of it, which you can see below along with the back. I believe this dress is an Alfred Angelo.

THE dress!

But then I came across this Maggie Sottero dress! Coming into the shop, I knew I liked this designer's dresses the best. So, it kind of seemed right. As you can see with all of these dresses thus far, they were all in white, so I didn't get to try on the ivory-colored dresses which I know I want. Also, mind you, all of these dresses I tried on were 2 sizes too big for me. This, in combination with the fact that cameras do not do the dress justice, this picture does not highlight how beautiful the dress really is! ..especially with the beading and the lace. It is really going to have a great, antique look to it! Can you tell I am not a fan of pictures?? : P

Check out that back!!! It will look soo neat with it bustled. It almost may be longer than I wanted, but.. we'll see!

To see a veil added in, which by the way, matches the lace perfectly.. look one more picture further! This dress is Brittney by Maggie Sottero. To see its FULL potential, check it out at this website! http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=J1311

A Dress In My Size

Picture
So to get an idea of how a Maggie dress will fit me in my size, I tried another dress on! Makes a world of a difference!! I may only need to have the bustle created and not have any potential alterations.

I tried on a dress similar to my potential dress and another softer one with I guess what is another similar look to MY potential dress. Not a close comparison though.. but here are the pictures for your viewing pleasure!

So that completes my 2nd attempt at dress shopping! A whole lot more fun than the first time and I think I may have found it! Now, I just need to pull the trigger and make the order!!!
